This weeks Illustration Friday is "twirl".
There's something so sweet about a little girl being twirled by her dad, I remember wanting to spin and spin, feeling like a ballerina.

This week's Illo Friday theme is "sink".  Of course I thought of all kinds of water basin ideas- but instead came up with SNOW- you sink right into it.  What with the holidays I had to post something festive and beautiful. 

Living in New England there's a kind of magic about the holidays that only seems to truly arrive when the white stuff does. Of course we're now at Dec.21st and STILL no snow- but here's hoping we'll get a white Christmas asap. (but not too much). So to my followers, friends, clients and family~ many thanks for your support, encouragement and enthusiasm, it helps me to make images I hope to share with you all in the coming year.

Stay warm, indulge in tasty treats, embrace family and friends, share kind thoughts and wishes and above all- stay safe and have a wonderful week!

Happy Holidays from Kairn Design!
This years card and promotional image was playfully inspired by my sister during last winters snowmageddon in the NorthEast. We must have filled the snow-quota because there's NONE now! This winter I've launched a line of greeting cards, prints, jewelry and more- can't wait to see what next year holds! KD participated in the 2011 Boston Bazaar Bizarre, complete with wonderful friends and my ever fantastic mum to help.

The surprise hits were the fold out desktop calendars... and here being an Apple girl I'd thought all calendars were wiped out with smart phones! yay I was wrong! Good Cheering up

Now I don't know about you, but sometimes life just kicks you in the wahoo.
Hopefully it's not an often occurrence, but on the random days when caffeine, chocolate and your favorite movie just don't seem to be "cutting it"... I resort to Muppetry.  That's right- muppets are a cure-all.
